We use a learner-centred and communicative approach to teaching. Our objective is to develop communicative competences and build self-confidence, through learners working on tasks in a positive and supportive, ‘English-only’ learning environment.
Our learners are placed in age-appropriate classes according to their level of English. Our levels are organised according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Our limit is 15 students in a class. This ensures that we are able to provide maximum opportunities for learners to interact, to practise language and to develop skills, while teachers can monitor and guide their progress more easily.
Levels for Younger Learners (Kids, Juniors 1+2) and Teens (Juniors 3+4) have two 55-minute classes per week, either on two different days or both on the same day. During the academic year, we guarantee a minimum number of 66 hours for these levels.
Cambridge English Exam preparation levels and Adult learners have two 90-minute classes per week, either on two different days or both on the same day. During the academic year, we guarantee a minimum number of 99 hours for these levels.
The academic year runs from mid-September to the end of June.
In order to reserve a place on a course, all learners have to pay an enrolment fee.
Every learner is assigned a specific ‘Student ID Number’.
The total fees of the course are calculated over the entire academic year and divided into equal monthly payments. You can choose to pay the fees monthly or for each trimester.
- All payments must be made during the first ten days of each month or trimester.
- Payments can only be made via bank transfer.
- It is essential to include the Student Name or the Student ID Number details on all transfers.
We offer a 5% discount on the monthly/trimestral fees for all current Lingua Upgrade students.
In addition, if two or more members of the same family are enrolled in the same academic year, they are eligible for a 5% discount on the monthly/trimestral fees.
Discounts are cumulative until a maximum of 10%.
Online classes mean that learners are able to interact with their teacher and classmates in real time. Learners only need a camera, a computer/laptop and internet connection.
We use either Zoom or Google Classroom for interactive online lessons because, by following the recommended best practices, we can ensure the safety of all our learners online. Both platforms allow learners to interact and work autonomously on tasks, under the guided supervision of the teacher.
We primarily deliver face to face classes.
We’re ready. Let’s talk.
If you are a new student, the first step is to evaluate your level and arrange an oral interview with us. You can take an online test here. After your interview, we will place you in the most appropriate level according to your availability.
